Prioritizing Wellness

Warner鈥檚 Student Counseling and Wellness Services are here to make sure that you are healthy both physically and mentally while you are a student here.

Meet the Student Mental Health Counselor

Welcome.  My name is Shari Stark, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.  I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to help you navigate life鈥檚 challenges.  Throughout my career, I have supported individuals in nonprofit, addiction rehab, equine-assisted therapy, private practice, corporate settings, and public schools.  I use an eclectic therapeutic approach rooted in Biblical principles.

Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Documentation Policy

Warner鈥檚 Student Counseling and Wellness cannot provide letters or documentation for Emotional Support Animals (ESAs).

Why ESA letters are not provided:

  • ESA documentation requires a specific, comprehensive clinical evaluation that falls outside the scope of the Student Mental Health Counselor.
  • The primary focus of the Student Mental Health Counselor is to provide brief counseling and acute crisis services, rather than long-term psychological or specialized assessments.

Recommended Next Steps:

Please consult with your primary physician or a community mental health provider that offers ESA evaluations.
